Restoring a tractor can be frustrating. As with all painting, the hardest part is the prep work which is stripping and sanding. Having said that, the proper selection of paint is what will keep the tractor looking good for years to come.
I have been using Sherwin Williams Sher-Kem paint with good results. It does not turn pink after being exposed to the sun and weather. Industrial Enamel is NOT a good choice. It will fade over time and is NOT a high gloss paint.
Sher-Kem is a very high gloss paint but the disadvantage is that it doesn't cover, so a primer is mandatory.
